What to Expect From Your First Group Training Class at Level Up

Walking into a new fitness class can feel a little nerve-wracking—we get it. At Level Up Studio, we aim to create a space where you feel supported and encouraged, no matter where you're starting from. Whether you’re new to strength training or just new to our space, here’s a look at what your first group session might be like.

A Warm Welcome

When you arrive, a coach or team member will greet you and introduce you to the group. We value creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong. Expect a few smiles, some casual conversation, and people who are rooting for you.

A Variety of Classes

We offer a mix of classes to meet different training styles and goals. From Strength and Conditioning to HYROX Training (we're an official HYROX Training Club), Kettlebells, Bootcamp, Boxing, and General Physical Preparedness (GPP), there’s a little something for everyone.

What a Strength WOD Typically Looks Like

If you're jumping into a Strength WOD, the structure usually looks like this:

  • A warm-up to get your body ready

  • A main strength movement (like squats, presses, or deadlifts)

  • Accessory work for balance and conditioning

  • A cool-down to help with recovery

(Other classes may follow a different structure based on the focus of the session.)

We Meet You Where You Are

Everyone moves at their own pace. Whether you’re just getting started or have years of experience, our coaches can adjust the workout to fit your level. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll work with you to find what does.

Small Group Feel

Our classes range in size from 4 to 16 people. That means you’re never just a number in the room. You’ll get feedback when you need it and space to learn and grow. For even more personalized support check out the Strong By Helen membership; these semiprivate sessions are capped at 6 participants.

Come As You Are

You don’t need to be in a certain shape or have the latest gear. Just show up with some water, a towel, and an open mind. Every session is a chance to show up for yourself—and that alone is something to be proud of.

Thinking About Joining Us?

If you're curious, we’re here. Try a class, get a feel for the space, and see what fits. No pressure—just movement, support, and a community that shows up.
